This blog is to document my progress on creating my Final Year Project.

The idea for my project was to create an augmented reality history lesson to help kids learn history better. I came across the idea when I discovered an article about a woman who wanted to remove History from the Irish curriculum. I was shocked to think that if it went ahead, people wouldnt know that there was a World War, a Rising in Ireland, The spread of communism with Stalin, everything.

I wanted to create something to make history more interesting, to make it more popular and a demand that it would never be written off the Irish education system. My plan is to hopefully create an "Interactive classroom" based on the GPO during the 1916 Rising. By the end of the project, I would like to have a room looking like the GPO but interactive through touch screen walls and information at just a touch away.
